Medical Transcription Training Programme

Our training objective is to achieve excellence at all levels of activities leading to continuous improvement in quality, productivity and cost-effectiveness by upgrading the skill-set of all staff in their related fields.
We adopt a rigorous and strict selection procedure to recruit prospective MTs. They are trained by experienced doctors and professionals with an objective to develop competence and commitment. The structured Training Programme lasts six months, with the flexibility to extend the duration depending on performance of the candidates. This is followed by two months of practical on the job training and effective feedback for continuous improvement of the system.
The training schedule includes study of medical terminology, American english grammar and punctuations, anatomy and physiology, phonetics, lingo, slang, idioms, phrases and above all, Transcription Training.
AAMT book of style is strictly adhered to in our training programme, and reference books including Language of Medicine, Stedman’s series etc. are provided to the trainees. As part of the practical training curriculum, students are exposed to programme tapes and a large number of dummy live tapes of various specialities.
Finally, we provide our students practical exposure to surgical understanding by inviting them to view certain surgical procedures and clinical procedures in different leading hospitals of the city. |
